What Does Parent Training Have to Offer?
Parent guidance equips you with the skills necessary to navigate and support your child's independence. This is done by collaborating with your board certified behavior analyst and working together as a team to target your child's deficits. Utilizing ABA strategies in your everyday life not only brings about behavioral improvements in your child but also strengthens the emotional bond between you and your child. This can also help your child generalize newly learned skills to other settings and situations.

Where Does Parent Training Take Place?
Anywhere! Parent training sessions can be conducted in your home, the grocery store, dentist, clinic, Telehealth (virtually), etc. Wherever, as long as the location is clinically appropriate.
What Does a Parent Training Session Look Like?
Each Parent training session will have a designated check in for the initial 5-10 minutes, which includes a brief overview and checklist of what we will be focusing on. Then after that, if there are any questions, definitely ask. The more open and honest we are as a team, the more progress we see! A lot of our sessions include practicing and learning new techniques. Then we will have a designated check-out, which will include a brief overview of what we went over, possibly some techniques to try on your own, and what we will focus on for the next session.
